Duck Hunt: Lamp Mod

This is one of those lamps that just makes you stop and say, "Yeah, that's awesome".  Duck Hunt is a game that's dear to many who played it.  It took a bit of skill and patients, but before you knew it you were hooked on the game.  And before you ask, no cartridges were hurt in the creation of this lamp. It was created by Estranged-Illusions from devaintart.

This all started when I saw a Zapper and went 'hmm, bet that would make a cool lamp...' so I gutted one and wired it up- next was a 1.5 scale replica of a game cartridge for the base (made from cardboard, weighted with decorative stones that I had no use for, hehe)... and a painted thrift shade with fun foam cut-outs! Ugh, I don't know *how* many hours I sat there cutting out pixellated grass and trees and dogs and ducks..... why must I choose such picky work to do?

Donkey Kong VS Mortal Combat

I always knew Scorpion had it in him.  I mean really, Donkey Kong VS Mortal Combat.  Who did you think was going to win?  The princess who's always getting captured.  Not likely!  Yeah, I don't even know what I'm talking about anymore either. Muahahah...Get over here! I love that.

Chubik, as you can see is an interesting change from the run-of-a-mill Rubik's cube.  I like the idea, and I wonder if it would actually make it harder to solve the puzzle.  I must warn you guys though, if you challenge me in a game of  'cube I'm probably going to mop the floor with you.  That's right, you're reading the words of a master puzzle solver.  I've complete a whole two sides before on a regular Rubik's cube; beat that!

Donkey Kong Jenga, GRRR!!!

Sometimes it can be depressing how designers put a boring twist on an old product (Monopoly anyone?).  But not so with Donkey Kong Jenga, Why you ask.  Well it's simple, Jenga was always an awesome game to begin with, and pairing it with a mean ape that steals women and throws barrles at people.  Genius! Also, you can play the game the regular way, or you can choose to play the special Mario version.  By the way, why is the guerrilla called a donkey anyways? I never understood that one.

The game has 54 blocks that are made of wood, and painted with the girders from Donkey Kong, and if you like playing Jenga, then you can play it the traditional way. However, the twist comes in when you decide to play the second version of the game where you use the Mario mover in order to save poor Pauline from the clutches of the evil Donkey Kong! For the second version of the game, there is even a Donkey Kong spinner included, that will determine the number of steps Mario can take.
