Can you guess where the worlds largest wind turbine is? Emden, Germany. This thing is called the Enercon E-126, and can produce 7-megawatts of power. Which is enough power to light 500,000 (families of 4) households in Europe. Or to put it in terms of the U.S., power 1776 houses (families of 1, haha just kidding).
"These turbines are equipped with a number of new features: an optimized blade design with a spoiler extending down to the hub, and a pre-cast concrete base. Due to the elevated hub height and the new blade profile, the performance of the E-126 is expected to by far surpass that of the E-112."
